NITANI
Set in the
wilderness of the Northern Tuli Game Reserve in the eastern corner
of Botswana, Nitani offers African travellers a special bush experience
- more than just a quick look at Africa's Big Five.
Decadent
staff-to-guest ratios, superb cuisine and a choice of 5 beautifully
appointed guest suites help make the Nitani experience second
to none!
The philosophy
that underpins conservation tourism at Nitani is the synthesis
of three people: Owners Shane and Adie Pinchen and their philosophical
mentor, William Thipe, a wise Batswana conservationist and wildlife
expert in his own right.
You will
become attuned to a world that is increasingly rare - one that
is unspoilt by the visual and aural pollution that has become
almost ubiquitous in the modern world. The human impact has been
minimised as much as possible through careful architecture and
environmentally friendly technology.
This is no
zoo in the bush. The animals are not vehicle-habituated and the
game viewing is as non-intrusive as possible. On a night drive,
for example, all spotlights and vehicle lights are red filtered
for minimum discomfort to the animals.

There are
only five luxurious suites at Nitani Lodge. Each is set on stilts
above the Majale River completely blending in with the environment
and all have their own plunge pool.
There is
always water here, which means that there are invariably animals
that can be viewed from the safety and comfort of your suite.
The standard of appointments is world class and each suite is
totally private.
There is
enough staff to wait on you hand and foot and to cater for your
every need, but at the same time your privacy is sacrosanct. Our
guests over the years have included a number of publicity-shy
celebrities but never has a word escaped from Nitani to the outside
world. This is a private Eden.
Nitani provides
a individualised experience. Nothing here is regimented or structured
and we do everything in our power to ensure that your stay is
spectacular. If you have a specialised interest in astronomy,
birds, butterflies, bugs, botany, archaeology, geography or any
other of the natural sciences we have either resident or consultant
experts available who will be delighted to spend time with you.
Our meals
are prepared by an internationally renowned Swedish chef. There
is nothing as prescriptive as a set menu - he cooks in consultation
with you, creating individualised menus so we can easily cater
for your dietary preferences. The kitchen is set up to accommodate
Halaal, Vegan and diabetic needs.
Be pampered
in our wellness centre where trained personnel will get rid of
all the stresses and strains of modern day life.
